Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a job at The Model Unit?

All projects are crewed up on a job-by-job basis, and all positions are freelance. If you wish to be considered, please send us your portfolio and your details will be placed on file.

Please note: we are fully crewed for all projects at the present time

How do I send my portfolio?

By post please! The sheer volume of material sent to The Model Unit means we are unable to review portfolios sent by email.  We are a small company, and the time taken to screen and print portfolios makes it prohibitive. Our postal address can be found on the contact page. Please ensure that you have paid sufficient postage to cover delivery (and include funds for return if required).  Having to pay excess postage will not endear you to us!!!

Do you take students on work experience?

Rarely. It depends both on insurance conditions, and the sensitivity of the projects that we are working on.

Can I just drop by and visit the workshop?

Not without a prior appointment.  If we are in the workshop, it means we are busy, and our work may be of a confidential nature.
